Measure face width
Stand in front of a mirror and measure temple to temple with a tape. Note the millimetres; 125 – 150 mm is the typical range.
Three numbers are printed inside the temple: lens width, bridge and temple length. They tell you how the frame will sit. The three steps below take about a minute.
Stand in front of a mirror and measure temple to temple with a tape. Note the millimetres; 125 – 150 mm is the typical range.
As a rule, narrow faces take 50 – 52 mm, medium 53 – 55 mm, wide 56 mm and above.
The temple should rest behind the ear without pressure. 140 mm is short, 145 mm standard, 148 mm long; acetate temples can be adjusted in the workshop.
Inside the temple: 54 □ 18 — 145. That is lens width, bridge, then temple length.
Choose the smaller one. Acetate can be eased a few millimetres in the workshop; it cannot be made smaller.
Prescription lenses are not sold at launch. Optical frames ship with non-prescription lenses; a listed optician can glaze them.
